Meet Kyle: The Marketing Assistant

Meet Kyle: The marketing assistant

I have only just recently started my role as the marketing assistant here at Real Recruitment Solutions, I have joined as part of my Bournemouth University sandwich course and I will be here for a year-long placement opportunity. I am looking forward to bringing my knowledge, which I have gained from University, into the business and implementing my ideas into the marketing that is currently being conducted. My main focus will be using our social media pages to generate higher levels of engagement from the public and try to create an online presence that people will recognise and feel comfortable to interact with. As well as this, I have made the decision to start a blog for the Real Recruitment Solutions website in which I will aim to write relevant articles that reflect on our identity, sector news and interesting stories. The purpose of this blog is to keep our candidates and clients aware that we are a proactive organisation that is heavily invested in recruitment and the sectors our desks operate in.

Throughout my time here, I am looking to gain experience and learn new practical skills that are harder to develop through theoretical practice. This placement year is a chance for me to showcase my abilities and drive forward a company that I genuinely believe in. Another positive aspect to my time here at Real Recruitment Solutions is that I am given lots of good opportunities to network and expand my business connections, which both Jacqueline and I see as an invaluable asset to have leading into the future.

In my spare time, outside of work, I am an avid film and music fan. I spend a lot of time in the evenings trying to watch new films and listen to different albums that allow me to expand my knowledge of a large variety of genres. These two are my main passions alongside marketing and I always make sure I have to time to keep learning more and more about my interests. Other than this, I enjoy socialising; living in Bournemouth allows me to do this to a great extent as there is a good selection of food and drink establishments, as well as the beach (which everybody loves). Overall, I am hoping to stamp some of my personality onto the marketing efforts of Real Recruitment Solutions and continue upon the positive brand image that surrounds the organisation.

Punctuation Day- Quiz & Facts

Today is punctuation day so we have created a fun quiz to test your knowledge of punctuation and grammar! The quiz has a few hidden surprises so make sure you keep your eyes peeled and read very carefully.

Here are 5 fun facts about punctuation that we thought were very interesting:

1) The hyphen is not the only horizontal piece of punctuation, there are actually three horizontal variations. These are the hyphen, the en dash and the em dash. The hyphen is the smallest of the three and the em dash is the longest.

2) The ‘#’ symbol is actually called an octothorpe.

3) In Italy, the word symbol ‘@’ is actually referred to as a little snail.

4) The exclamation mark and the question mark were not always symbols and in fact used to be words. The exclamation mark was instead ‘io’ and the question mark was ‘questio’.

5) There used to be a punctuation mark called the ‘interrobang’ which was a combination of the question mark and the exclamation mark. It was used when asking a question excitedly.

Real Recruitment Solutions- Who are we?

“People are our business”

Real Recruitment Solutions is a specialist recruitment agency operating from Bournemouth, Dorset that works across the commercial, construction, healthcare and hospitality sectors nationwide. The consultants use their years of experience and knowledge to produce the best possible results for both the candidates and the clients. The ethos that runs through the veins of the organisation is to maintain the ideal that people are at the forefront of all processes and it is only by listening and understanding that a positive outcome will be achieved.

Jacqueline Entwistle is the managing director of Real Recruitment Solutions. Jacqueline has built up an outstanding repertoire of connections throughout many years of hard work, networking and sheer likeability. Being a friend to so many could become quite exhausting but not for Jacqueline who is the sole reason for the ‘people-first’ culture that is so recognisable within Real Recruitment Solutions. However, her efforts do not only extend to creating a successful business of her own but also to helping the community of Bournemouth to develop and become a leading place for new and current businesses to prosper from a greater local economy. Jacqueline’s aspirations have led Real Recruitment Solutions to sustaining and creating new client relationships which means that there are an increasing number of vacancies for them to fill. Jacqueline is planning to slow down and is looking to expand the business and hire more specialist consultants that have expert knowledge in other sectors.

The type of service offered at Real recruitment surpasses the cliché of ‘going the extra mile’, as each consultant strives to produce the best possible service and provide the ‘real difference’ for both candidate and client. Consultants here ensure that they have a constant chain of communication with both parties, this allows for both to feel updated and be aware that the consultants is being proactive. The communication is always very personal as the consultants take time to learn and gain in-depth knowledge about company cultures, candidate personalities and the skills/experience required; this allows them in the future to find the perfect fit for both candidate and client. Once the vacancy is filled the work does not stop as Real Recruitment Solutions prefers to maintain contact even months after placing a candidate. Why is this necessary? It is necessary because the organisation wants to be sure that the candidate has settled in their new role and on the other hand, whether the standard of work is suitable for the client. At Real Recruitment Solutions the focus is about building long-term relationships for both candidates and clients.
